Default Do these brakes make my ass look big?

another FOOLISH purchase for the "budget" RFX completely for the sake of aesthetics. It ships today fortunately so no more time to make stupid upgrade decisions

We sometimes joke around with "well, what's more important? functionality or looking cool? looking cool!" But man, you take it to a whole new level.

May I please dry hump your bike once it's done?

LOL.....though on the rear i went with girly 4 piston brakes.....i mean I only weigh 175 lbs, its not like i need 6 pistons front and rear though come to think of it, i am likely to gain a couple of pounds over the holidays so maybe i should call Chad quickly!

i was waiting on those and honestly, probably should have waited. The thing was.....Chad has been SO AMAZING with me (patience of a Saint) and I dragged out....changed the order so much I really wanted closure so I said just to get the 06. I do like the 07 better but hey, the 06 work fine and the calipers and lever area is black versus silver for 07 regardless, I am happy.

I mentioned the red goodridge kit to chad but i decided to go with standard simply cause i have more than enough colors and it was quicker.

i did blow it on the headset. King headsets are creaky and i would rather have had the Hope.....looking back i should have gone Hope since Kings are for Queens.

as for the Venti rotors, they look lame in my opinion. my original brake order WAS the Louise with Venti rotors. Once we saw the rotors though they were very, very pink and look lame up against red hubs so i scratched that idea altogether. Magura blew it.....their Marta red brakes are a real read so i am not sure why they messed up the Venti color. I could have gotten red ano interior on the Hope rotors but again, did not want to exaggerate a color mismatch (Hope red is darker) so stuck with black...call me boring.

Or better yet, call me "Queer Eye for the Straight Homer"

there are definitely knick-knacks i could have done.....red SRAM cassette carier among other things but i changed so much of the order i needed to stop. I am happy with it (though i have yet to see a full bike picture).

Very nice. Post after you have broken them in to let us know how the brakes work. If we don't hear from you we will assume they threw you over the bars and messed you up.

that does look pimp for sure.
Don't beat yourself up to bad over the different red anno matching. Red is the worst when it comes to fading in the sun. It will all be a nice shade of pink after a season or 2 anyway.

Ha ha...i have had red ano stuff in the past and no problems. only time in the sun is when riding for me.

and i like they way it turned out....what i said would have been a bad idea is to have red rotors as well as that would have clashed.....glad i followed my own advice on that one.

cheers
