Default Baby steps

8 weeks to the day since surgery to repair my broken ankle and I took my first unaided steps (no cast nor crutches).

First few steps were a f'n mess (and painful) but just like riding it appears momentum works in your favor and i made it across the room. Strength and flexibility suck b@lls so doc says ~4-6 weeks in rehab. Don't even want to guess what my wind is like . Just hoping everything falls in place and looking forward to full recovery and riding again soon

Anyway, cannot say i dealt too well with being off bike so long but the feedback to prior posts was much appreciated. thanks

Hope to hook up for ride before too long

Hope you have a speedy recovery. It sucks not being able to ride and I am sure the pain you are going through is horrible. Congrats on your first steps.

Way to go Adam! You'll be riding soon, hang in there. I think your first ride should be El Moro, so you can show it who 'da boss.

Dude,

You're hauling ass!!!! 8 weeks and already off crutches and no walking boot. I'd bet good money on quick and full recovery from here on out as long as you don't push it too hard. Don't worry about the wind. They'll probably have you on a bike and eliptical in PT so you'll get a good 30-40 minutes of cardio/per session

I'm really stoked for you as your recovery seems to be going really well.

Best of luck to your continued success,
Chris

I wanted to give my special thanks to Adam (Kid A) who helped me with the repairs on my bikes. He did a great job and I very much appreciate the time and trouble. Best wishes on his quick recovery from his broken ankle.
