Default Where to go in Tahoe?

Hey, I will be going to Mammoth, and then on to Tahoe with the family. Can I get some sugestions on where to go? Is it like mammoth? Are there mountain bike parks I can take a 12 and 14 year old boys? I thought I saw a park that seemed like it was only for exspert riders.

Northstar in N. Lake Tahoe. Lots of rides in S. Lake Tahoe. Mr. Toad's wild ride, Christmas Valley, Kingsbury Stinger (shuttle), Tahoe Rim Trail, and more. I have a post similar to this just search and there are some suggestions on there too.

We are going to Mammoth and Tahoe too for our family vacation. leaving the 13th for tahoe and mammoth on the 20th. Have a great time.

i just got back from there today. we went and just asked around. northstart was closed so we road the rim southern part of rim trail that exits into tahoe city. we went up jack pine road to get there. we also road the flume trail, non technical but great views. and has a shuttle. we also road the the immigrant trail. the east section north of truckee off 89, another trail that you could take your kids on.

no we just road out and back. great trail for beginners because there is only 1400 feet of elevation gain over 7 miles. so its 14 round trip or something like that. but you are riding at 7k feet, so its a good way to get aclimated

There is a shuttle up to Mt. Rose back to Tahoe Rim Trail, as well as a shuttle for The Flume.

There are nice brothels near by to lubricate your stems.
