My best time is 1h1m. I'm on a super heavy bike with big tires, so all things considered, I think that's a pretty good time. I'd like to borrow an XC bike and see how fast I could bust one out!

I was on par to do it in 30 minutes, but Steven Jackson clocked me over the head with a Budweiser bottle after throwing a duck in my spokes.

I remember that. The best part is when you get to that steep curvy downhill part at the end.

I got an older Garmin (305) a few months back and I find it perfect for mountain biking. Unless you want to have topo maps or turn by turn directions, the older ones should fit the bill.

ah hell, as much as i'm against anyone racing the fully loop (B* being a much better assessment not including safer), I think i'll have to give this a try. Guess i'll try sometime this week really late at night. I can't be slower than those numbers above, I just can't.

Yes. When you submit a GPS ride to geoladders you are allowed to set the time to whatever you want. Ultimately you have to take someone's word on the results GPS or not.

ah screw you guys...

there was once a time when I was an XC weenie and actually pedaled a lot. plus, I lack the super sophistimacated GPS timing devices you guys have. I've got a microwave in my kitchen.

I need to get out and do a hot lap and actually time myself to see what I get.

oh and for the record, I never said "I'm as fast as Gene".
