none of you should care about this but what the heck....
...i have been watching BTI like a hawk just waiting for my fork to become available. got a message from Larry Mettler's friend (squeaky wheel from mtbr) letting me know Larry placed an order from the first batch so I IMMEDIATELY called my dealer to get the order in.....sweet, he ordered 3 and they will arrive at his shop on Wednesday. ...however, in my infinite wisdom I pulled a bonehead move. Chad already built my solid but affordable wheelset 2 weeks ago while we waited on the last parts to arrive. damn if i didnt change the order today. Chad is the coolest dawg and is not gonna hammer me on double labor but rather just sell that one off and make me a new one. So now, intead of waiting 4 weeks on the fork to arrive and have the bike done Wednesday, I have to wait to get the parts for the new wheelset. I am a retard for sure..... |

I will confirm 100% tomorrow....and while I hate to admit it, the I9s (like yours) are on the list but I feel bad even considering that as an option cause i would be a copycat. Probably not gonna go with the I9 on this one since it will take longer and given my fork is finally in, i really want the bike asap.
Since you asked, build will be: * White powdercoated DT Swiss EX5.1 rims * red alloy nipples * Competition spokes * red king hubs with rear steel heavy duty axle using King Funbolts I know, stupid (especially the extra i am paying for the HD axle and fun bolts), but what the heck....I honestly dont know any better. Over the top color coordination and i hope it works out but regardless, i never can help myself |

good point. though with the I9s, ordering them now will probably take a few weeks anyway....the Kings (assuming red is in stock when chad calls tomorrow) will be much quicker and frankly, both wheelsets will make me very happy, especially since this build started with an approximate $175-$200 build that weight a ton.
