Default Since I cant ride on weekends....

....i think about bikes. I am literally 1 part away from my completed FS bike. Supposedly, the fork is "on its way" from Italy....not holding breath but hoping the shipment will truly be here at the end of the month so i can get out and ride it.

Anyway, decided to weigh a few parts. Definitely NOT weight weenie stuff (except for the saddle which is a very decent weight)....but i am still stoked on the choices! I hope the stem length does not end up killing me cause it is so short....it looks sick and I really want to keep it. Besides, its how you look not how you ride I was also stoked to have tracked down a new pair of 646 pedals instead of those weak 647 plastic POS pedals....why they cancelled the 646 I will never know.

Nice, love the look of the seat.

Fo, since you're the first rider I know that's heard of Deity. Can you please tell me what this is, and what I can do with it? Thx.

Marz told me yesterday that some forks are not even here yet....supposedly, the specific fork I ordered is on a boat on its way from italy and will hopefully clear customs end of month. Some 07 forks have come in.....though some have not unfortunatley, to include the 66 SL; at least that is what we were told.

the 66 i saw today was the rc2x, so maybe those came in first... i have the same deity handle bar and man i still need to get used to the extra 2" in width from my old lp bar that i had. i've been clipping trees and the likes since i've got it mounted

that is one of their sweet seatpost clamps. I would run one except i need a quick release. It may or may not fit your bike of course......the usual; needs to be the right size. I dig em though...

fortunately, I am used to 27/28" bars from single speeding so I am stoked on that part.

yeah...the 1 1/8" RC2X and RC2 are readily available....but they aint white to match the bars and stem

yeah, the syncros probably would have been an ok way to go, though I paid for my wheelset what i would have paid for the Syncros so I probably did the right thing. Big downside for Syncros is that i know nothing of the hubs.....and at least i know the wheelbuilder who did my wheels is top notch. wheels and suspensoin are the couple of places i actually do get nervous to not go with known quality.

Wow, I've never seen those white DT Swiss before. I wonder how they'd workout for my white ss? I've made up my mind to spend the money on a new wheelset for my ss, I'm about 95% on American Classic, but if these are comparable in weight, I'd go with these.
