Default Payday buy

So today is payday. I want something new. Can't climb well enough so I usally throw money at the problem.

I have an Answer ProTaper bar on my SS. Before my broken arm this bar was off my bike and in storage after 20 miles. It didn't feel right. Now after breakage it feels better , but not right. Cut to the chase I would like to try a unconventional bar. Jones is out , but a on-one or some other reasonable one could be cool.

Who has got things like this ? Performance ? or should I head to the Path first.

in terms of non conventional bars:

On-One fleegle is pretty cool....

On-One Mary is pretty cool...

Titec H-bar (via jeff jones) looks cool....not really out yet though

when climbing/standing alot (i.e., single speeding) lots of people find an angled wrist position to be more comfortable and actually easier on the wrists on long climbs.

i see the merit to it but i prefer normal riser bars cause i hate the wrist angles some of these other bars give on REAL tight switchback climbs and on the downhills.....where going down i want no wrist angle as that is a more natural position to "push" against the bars when descending. like everything, all about pluses and minues.

Checked the On-One Marys at the Path. Found they are way too narrow. In line with a xc strait bar. A dh bar is about 2 1/2 inchs wider. Did find somthing to buy I really needed though.

DHRoss , I would like to lessen the wrist strain while climbing just like Fo-Shizzle says. Broke my wrist on my DH bike , pinning it to flames. Instead of giving up biking til I can DH again. Its about riding and having fun staying in shape ,climbing before decending . Just staying on the bike. Hitting dirt trails for the first time today was a rush.

not true at all. if you have a turner you are immediately transformed into a red bull rampage-ready rider.

and if you ride a Trek road bike, you will be guaranteed to win the Tour de France
