Talking Black is the New Black......

Latest and final edition to the stable; '06 Med 5 Spot. I'm building this up light around 27-28 lbs to complement the RFX.

Very nice. I look forward to your build spec when finished. You're going to need some little tires and a lot of money to get under 28/29

Also - never say final. You never know when you might come across a deal too good to pass up.

You have too many bikes, Frank. Being the nice guy that I am, I'd be willing to help you by taking that one off your hands.

Just trying to be nice

Nice color choice Good luck on the 27, 28# goal......it won't be cheap! Mine weighs in at just a hair over 30lbs and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

You'll get close, but I think the Suns are a little heavy, aren't they? It's better for you to have a little beef though in that area. When I first built my Spot to a similar build as you have I came in at 28.5 pounds. Since then though the bike has gained some weight. Mostly in the tires catagory, but a few other places too. You are going to love this bike. Even though you have the pack, this one you won't have to struggle so hard with. When do you think you're going to have it ready?

The Suns are a little heavy compared to a true XC wheel but they are lighter than Rhyno Lites and aren't a PITA to remove the tires like the RL's. I'm ordering the brakes tomorrow so it might take 2-3 weeks b4 I have them in hand to complete the build.

Nice Frank, good solid build. I wouldn't worry to much about the weight.
I think it should be significantly lighter than the Pack and be a bit easier to climb. Now you can keep the 66sl at 170mm and see what it's all about.

That's a nice bike, alright. I mean, it's not a Specialized or anything, but it's still good. Congrats, Frank
