My wife wanted a china cabinet to store/display the fine china we got at our wedding a couple years ago. She was tired of pulling them out of the closet. So I got her one. She'll be busy loading it up this weekend while I'm out breaking in my new RFX. I think she's happy

I think you got the better deal. Let her think she did though.

The fork is a 06 66LightETA, it came off the Highline. Red was actually a last second decision. this was going to be a black and blue build, much like the HL. The Hope brakes were ordered months ago with the black plugs which was one of the only differences. I've had a blue headset and the blue hubs/wheelset from the other bike i was going to move over, but when I came across these at The Path... i could not resist.... ![]() The rest of build is pretty much standard Homer stuff ![]() Well except for a GD seatpost Quote:
![]() Thanks Frank! so did you decide on that 3rd Turner yet? ![]() perhaps i should keep the spare parts in the lower cabinets? if she suspects me spending more money on bikes that'll be the last place she looks. Last edited by Chaos; 10-07-2006 at 02:45 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Ha ha....yeah, the GD and the fact that you are not running an 06 RFX front triangle, with 05 5-Spot seat stays with 07 RFX/5.5-Spot chainstays.
True homers are simply TOO friggin much with their mixing and matching of pieces of frame...Gravity droppers....PUSH rockers....etc....etc....etc I vow to not do a thing out of the ordinary to my bike |

Craig, Lucas, Rob.... thanks.
I forgot to throw it up on the scale before i took it from the shop so I have no idea how much it weighs, but it's definitely lighter than the Highline. I'm running a 700lb spring on the DHX and I'm really surprised at how plush it is... so much more than the HL. Makes me really wonder if the HL is still oversprung[i'm leaning this way] or the RFX is undersprung??? I've checked the sag on the both bikes and it seems to be right ... so I think i'm going to order a lighter spring for the HL and try it out.Rob how are the DT Swiss tubeless kits holding up for the 5.1s. I'm running tubes but want to convert eventually. Killa, the 3rd bike is a 5Spot. oh before I forget, the fork replacement for the 66Light also came in i've ruined the color scheme on the HL but the replacement fork only came in Galvanized for this model. |
