Default Mountain Biking Championships on Channel 2

FYI: I was channel surfing and just noticed @3pm today, channel 2, Jeep King of the Mountain World Championships, from Elkhart Lake, Wis.

Yeah, I caught the whole thing. My son came and told me it was on. I thought he maybe looking at a commercial or something. Great racing, but I'm finding it hard to accept that Lopes is not number one any longer. Eric Carter is looking better, but the Chezch guy was just a lot stronger. Tara Llames took a nasty spill, but came back from it and got third.

I'm kind of bummed they didn't advertize it. Watching it on TV doesn't have the same excitement as when you're there. I wish there was a way to convey the technical end of the downhill racing. The video's never capture the pitch of the hill or the technical areas we go thru.

i didnt know there was downhill i just saw the beginning if anyone has a tape id like to wathc the whole thing

i was in WI when that went down
was gonna go but didnt know exact dates

It really sucks getting old. Procop is somewhere around 10 years younger than Lopes, and although not as experienced, obviously every bit as strong. He's one of the only guys I've ever seen pull Lopes out of the gate.
