Default To guide, or not to guide.....

to homers or normal people, chain guide for 2 ring setup?

I had a DRS E-13 on my Bullit and loved it. Whether or not I needed it, who knows.

For my new bike I am thinking about one......pretty much just cause i have time to think about it and God knows what else I will decide to change on the build in the next week.

Somthing simple like a Heim 2 ring seems to make sense...not too much coin.

thoughts?

i think brett uses one, i don't use one on my bike but then again i don't drop the chain often enough to warrant the need for one.

To be a true poseur snob requires a Heim 3 ring guide with MRP roller. Ditch the big ring for your bash of choice.

Yeah just get the Heim 3 guide arm and an MRP LRP roller and you're set I use this set up on 3 of my bikes and it works great! Don't bother getting the ISCG mount type as you'll more than likely run into clearance issues. The Heim arm/MRP roller is the ticket for sure

The LRP Roller (made by MRP) is the ticket. It's a stepped roller made for 2 chain rings. I'm running that setup on my Spot with the Heim guide and it works flawlessly.

Craig, where'd you get your set up?

MRP LRP roller from Jenson and the Heim guide from Price Point. I might have that backwards but you get the idea.
