Default Anyone dealt with 24 hours of Adrenaline?

So I'm signed up on a 4 man team to race at Hurkey Creek, and have some ???s for the promoter, and can't get hold of anyone for the past week! Anyone else dealt with them before? i'm having a hard time justifying the $$$ it costs to race this thing, could be my last time racing one of their races.

Very tough to get a hold of them the last few weeks before the event. They are pretty stacked up getting ready for the event. I had the same minor issue last year, but did get an e-mail back saying they could not really help me until after the event.

It's a pretty intense event for them to orchestrate.

Thanks for the feedback, I understand that it's a lot of work for them. I've dealt with Granny Gear Racing at other 24 hour events, and was blown away with their set-up and professionalism. I just thought that 24 hours of Adrenaline would be the same, since they've been doing it so long. They have deadlines on their sign-up, yet you can't get hold of anybody if you have a question, that's all.

John, that was the number one reason I quit dealing with them. They don't compete with the other events. The other events answer phones ,emails and treat you like a customer versus treating you like a bother.I spoke with them and their answer was would you rather pay more to talk to someone? My reply was I don't have to pay more when I'm at any other event other then 24 HOA, and they have someone available to answer my questions.

Look I know they have a business and are trying to run it to make a profit, but you can't ignore your customers questions. In my opinion they are very unprofessional.

Thanks for the confirmation on this Mike, I've talked to two other people today with similar stories. This will be my last one with 24 HOA.

I concur with Dirty's choice of hydration. Good source of carbs and electrolytes.

You're right, Mike. Concuring is NOT allowed here. You can agree but not concur.

I've done Hurkey Creek 24HOA 4 times over the past few years. I think I've ranted about 24HOA before (can't remember if it was on this board or another). But yeah, they do kinda tend to treat people like they're a bother - and if you Google "Stuart Dorland" and/or "24HOA" you will quickly see that they've gotten sideways with more than a few riders over the years. That, combined with having to pay so much makes it seem to me like these sorts of events aren't going to be around too much longer. Why not save the $125 per person (5 man team - it's more if you're a solo) and just get a camping site with some buddies and ride your butt off for free?!!

I haven't had the best experience w/ 24HOA either and have heard the same from other riders and racers. The cost to race was always higher than the other 24hr events and I didn't think their venue was any better. I also had the same problem w/ trying to get questions answered by someone, which was pretty nerve racking before my first 24hr race.

I just got a voicemail from someone at 24HOA while I was in class, won't be able to talk to him until tomorrow, I'm hoping for the best.

Got done with the race (will post that report in the Racing Forum), and 24HOA put on a very cool event. However, this is the last race I'll do with them because..... 1- A wad of $$$ for a race and T-shirt.
2- Most confusing, non-informative website ever
3- Lack of communication
4- Arrogant! Tried to talk to them at the race about
their website, they told me they've been doing this
a long time, and they know what they're doing.
