USC is NOT the same team. But, last time I checked, scoreboard is still scoreboard. I guess if Sun Devils are happy with moral victories then we're both happy!

On the other hand, there were lots of close calls last year and the year before and the year before. Ain't much has really changed. USC was down 0-21 in Az. St. last year and still won and went on to the Nat'l Championship game. Looks like we're on par for the same. Got to get past Cal, Oregon and Neuter Dame, still. No small feat there. But, I have a good feeling. Carroll's teams get stronger as the season goes on. We have a young team that's only going to get better. So, enjoy that moral victory because USC still won and will win again next year and the year after. ASU blows. They won't go to a bowl game this year because they just lost their "bowl game" last weekend. Booyah!

Face it, everybody gets up for USC becuause for many teams it's the closest they will come to playing a bowl game that year. ASU will get blown out in the next game. Bet it.

Oh, and I just want to say... I'm not trying to be a tool. I typed all of the above with a smile on my face and trying to be good-natured. If it makes anyone feel any better I sat through the John Robinson and Paul Hackett regimes and had to take all kinds crap off of people. Man, USC was freaking *last* in the PAC-10 at one point there. That hurt. But, I sucked it up and took it. I wore my SC gear around town and smiled and nodded when people said USC sucked 'cause they did. I mean, after all, what's the point of watching sports and following teams if you can't talk smack? So, I hope no one gets bummed out because after all, I just wanna ride bikes and have fun with cool people.

Just not Bruins.

hmm, par may not quite cut it. as seen on anothers USC alum's desk after last years national championship game. btw - he wasn't too happy

Well, somehow I think that if this team went to the Nat'l Championship game in what is supposed to be a rebuilding year (you know, replacing TWO Heisman trophy winners and all that) then I kinda think we're doing pretty good win or not. Personally, I'd rather go to the Rose Bowl this year, win, and go to the NC next year.
