Yep, it's beginning to sound like it's going to be a pretty major expo going on. I hope it doesn't turn out like a party where nobody shows up. That would be disappointing to the vendors, and there will be LOTS of them. Specialized is bringing their demo trailer with about 30 bikes from what they told me. Yeti and Intense are bringing their trailers, too. Intense actually put the demo announcement on their website and it's showing up on MTBR now too. Answer just called to tell me they wanted to bring beer, but the city won't allow it so I asked them to bring Red Bull instead. Sorry to all the beernuts out there.

Anyway, I hope to see everyone on Saturday. The raffle prizes are piling up so I'm going to have to raffle stuff off ALL day. We've got a a Ridley road frame (to all you closet-roadies out there), Rocky Mountain Blizzard frame, Nirve Classic Cruiser, Felt Surf City Cruiser, hats, socks, t-shirts, jerseys, shorts (lycra, again for you closet roadies), and other stuff I don't know about yet. I think there'll be about 12-15 vendors with tents here as well, so bring your questions for them. Maybe they'll give you a sticker....
See you Saturday!
Sean.

FWIW, I called the shop yesterday.
The Intense bikes are for demo-ing (is that a word?) there, not for checking out and taking down to El Moro.
I had visions of going down Rattlesnake with a lot more travel to play with...
Oh well.

I went and checked this out. Nice looking shop!
The expo was cool. I rode a Intense 6.6 and the Shimano XTR test bike with all of the new bits.
The Shimano stuff was typical XTR quality goods.
Shifter/brake combo levers with hydraulics. Very small reservoir. Some of the nicest brakes I have ever used.
The crank had a Ti middle ring and carbon pins.
The 6.6 was very nice, great balanced bike. It'll be on the short list.
The raffle was fun too.

Damn Chris, you went there without telling me? I would've LOVED to try a 6.6. Oh well, I had my daughter's b-day stuff today anyway.

I went Saturday - You said you were working! The 6.6 was butta - went over curbs like they didn't exist.
I was going to call you to see if you wanted to ride Vanessa and Kobe tonight about 6:30, but I couldn't pull it off.

Yeah, I was working Sat., but I would love to "ride" Vanessa (hummana-hummana). Seriously though, I don't think Intense's top tubes are long enough for me, but I do love their bikes.

I headed out there as well and took the fam. We got there about 2 pm and checked out the store (which is Awesome) talked to all just about all of the vendors out there. I have to majorly agree with Schecky the 6.6 was CLEAN, they had one inside for sale, an Awsome Bright Orange paint job and a sticker of $4,500 (I asked but the Misses laughed) One cool thing was right before we left a guy got up on a little ladder and started throwing stuff out to our little crowd. I scored two pairs of Scocks and Fox Slevless jersy.

They also had all of the '07 lineup for specialized out on the floor for purchase which was cool to get a look at.
