hey
i have the grand decision of choosin a fox 40 rc2 over a much cheaper monster t help me out fellas which one do u think a huckster like me should get it would be goin on my 04 v10

I wouldn't recommend a 40 for hucking. They are made light for racing and have been known to break when hucked off huge drops. Go with a 888 as it can take the abuse and won't slack out your v10 as much as a MT.

I don't do much in the way of gravity testing with free fall, personally I use a 40 with a medium spring that FOX provides and I go through most of the travel while riding trails like Tunnel in Santa Barbara with a bit of speed. I use to roll with a Shiver and have noticed a jump in plushness and consistency through the travel range, also less flex at low speed manuvering... I suppose the added rigidity might lend itself to the failures, but I'd have to think you're doing some extreme stuff to bust a 40.
