You do not want to move in July to NC. Don't you know what their state bird is? It's the MOSQUITO. They're huge and they'll eat you alive since you're the new flavor in town. Wait till fall. I was out in SC last month and they feasted on my ass. It wasn't even hot yet. They've got these mosquitos/flys called NoSeeEm's. Yup, you can't see them till they've bit you. Hopefully, I'll be back soon and join you for a few more rides.

Thanks for the advice! Though I'm no stranger to skeeters. Living in the Gulf Coast (TX and New Orleans) we had our share! One word: DEET--it is some nasty stuff but it keeps them off....I think it melts plastic too, but that's another thread...

But I can tell you right now that the humidity is going to be a beast! This SoCal dryness has been real nice and weakened my resistance to humidity! Ah, really though it can't be much worse than when I was back in TX last summer...that was BLAZIN and humid! No fun!
