Default CHUMBA Racing looking for product testers/reviewers

Hey guys - my friends at CHUMBA are looking for some product testers/reviewers.

Here's your chance to get an extended 2 week demo of their new EVO.

I got a chance to ride the EVO on the Fullerton Loop a couple of weeks ago. If I was you guys, I'd jump at this opportunity. The EVO is stiff, one of the stiffest bikes I've ever ridden. The frame feels like a downhill bike but, it pedals really well. Taking drops and jumps is pretty easy on this bike because the suspension is so smooth.

BTW, I don't work for Chumba, nor do I own one. I have a Nomad, which I love.

One of my buddies is taking advantage of the test ride. We rode Aliso today and I got to try it out. For a 32lbs bike it felt lighter than my 28lbs 5spot. The rear end felt super stiff and flex free. Pretty cool bike.

I cant really compare a 5pot too it... but itd be cool to hear what guys riding Nomads and 6packs have to say.

Well, I'm Skipp's aforementioned buddy, I have the bike for the next week and I got my first ride in on it yesterday. I have to say, my first impressions of the thing are...well...I'm impressed.

I have to adjust the settings on the shock to make it a little bit more compliant for a 187lbs rider (when Skipp jumped on it, it looked like it was set up well for his weight) but, otherwise, I was truly surprised by how well this thing performed. I expected it to be more fun on the descents than my usual rig (I normally ride a Moto Lite) and it did not disappoint but I really didn't expect it to climb well and, despite the shock thing and the fact that I had my seat positioned a little bit too low, it seemed to climb really well.

So far I only have one ride in so I'll reserve complete judgement until I've had the chance to play around on some longer rides but, so far, I really love this thing.

If you're looking for some setup tips for the rear, I'm just about your weight. I have 225psi in the main chamber and about 150psi in the secondary. I have pro-pedal about 5 clicks from max. Rebound wise - I forget..sorry...

Unless your demo has a AM1 up front, I can't offer much help there.

I think my fork has finally broken in and my bike feels pretty dialed-in to me now. I went down the Luge last night and I think I rode it faster than I ever did, and felt in total control the entire time.

Thanks man; I'm going to give those settings a try before I head out to play with my new - temporary - toy tomorrow.
