Hi Everyone,
Jason Ranoa here with the "12 Hours of Temecula"
I have been working with the owners of Vail Lake Resort for the past 6-7 years and it has been a great experience! We have created, maintained, and groomed many of the existing trails at the resort.
Well it is that time again. With the Downhill park going in and opening in Nov we are in need of a lot of work and creation for xc trails on the existing land at Vail Lake. I have got the go ahead from the owners at Vail to Start the expansion of over 25 plus miles of trails at Vail. To include the lakeside and the north side of the resort. I already have a game plan in place and the gps model is up and running.
I will be building these trails on a volunteer basis for Vail Lake Resort. I am asking for volunteers to help out and be a part of what can be the premier trail system in SoCal. We are talking about over 50 miles of trail network created by bikers, for bikers. With the wonderful creation of the downhill park and a huge network of xc trails we will be able to ride a variety of terrain and bikes right here in our back yards.
Please email me if you'd like to be part of the team. There will be certain perks for anyone willing to lend a hand and be part of the next step. We will be meeting Friday evening NOvember 15th at the Huck Finn Pond area at Vail Lake resort at 6:00 pm. This is the same weekend as The "12 Hours Of Temecula" 3rd race. So many of my venders and racers will also be on site. But it will be a great tie to get together and discuss the plans. If you cant make the meeting but still want to be a part of the love, please email me and let me know.
Have a great day and thnks for your support!
Jason Ranoa

I second that.

I asked while I was paying my money. They said they were working on it. How hard can it be.

How much does it cost to ride? Last time I rod there...maybe 6 or 7 months ago there was no charge. I even went into one of the offices to see if it was okay to ride! They actied as if they didn't even know what a mtn bike was let alone the fact that they had trails! I assume you pay at the front kiosk? Thanks.

I have never had to pay before.

Hey Jason

Is the meeting on Friday Nov 14th or Saturday Nov 15th? I'm assuming the date is Friday Nov 14th. The dates in the OP are off.

Looking forward to lending a hand!

Thanks everyone for the support! You guys are awesome! I am compiling a great email list to help include everyone for info. On a side note I have also started the a new club it will be called the " Inland Valley Bike Club " IVBC. The purpose for this club will be completely non profit. It will be a great place for us to organize and be more effective. There are already other projects that need some help in our area. Just to let you know: (A few places i already lend a hand - But we need more hands)
Santa Rosa plateau
Simpson Park
Bonita Canyon
Idyllwild
Anyways give me your thoughts and ideas.
Once again I appreciate you support!

Jason, You know I'm down to help, being 5 mins from the Vail lake.

We have an "official, no more trails" agreement at the San Clemente Single tracks. So I'm half tempted to move our trail tools out to Vail Somewhere. What are your thoughts on that?
