So mags have a bad rep for being out of true, think the TAGS have solved this problem? They'd totally be worth it if so. I kind of like the idea but I don't want to be stuck with a really expensive mistake.
Also, anybody tried the new ones yet?

+1 - my riding bud is a monster and as tough as they come on his wheels - the Outlaws have held up extremely well.

I think it will help by starting by telling what you have now. Would give us a better idea of what you might need. If you have XC type rims you may be good with some good AM rims or light FR rims.

A lot of the wheels mentioned are pretty heavy. Strong but heavy. If you have the coin, you can't go wrong with Mavic CrossMax SX's. Super strong and really light for how bullet proof they are.

I'm actually going to be selling mine because they are a bit too much wheel for me--and they weigh in at 1920 grams!! I paid $800 and was going to sell for about half that, less then 1 year on them.

I have actually had to warranty quite a few of those

As far as I know, they are using a standard style aluminum hoop still, just doesnt hav spoke holes drilled in it, stupid strong wheel, rediculously heavy.

Azonic Outlaws - Again! different choices of color.. interchangeable QR/20mm front, I think the rear too 12mm? for ALL MOUNTAIN type of riding with lite-freeride... Loud rear hub but not annoying compared to hopes... again, they are Cheap... customer service is good too... I got mine at the path...

Edit: sure they're on the heavy side... but I can get mine lighter (if I don't eat before I ride)

I'm another azonic outlaw user....I've ridden em hard for over a year...only problem I've had is that I had to replace the bearings recently.....probably due to the almost daily water crossings through marshall canyon..I've also used these with pretty good luck...and not too bad on the wallet....their OEM but you can get em' on ebay for cheap.....
