Default What tires run large/small?

Either Maxxis tires run small or Specialized run large. Someone posted that old design Kendas run small. What else?

WTB Exiwolfs? 2.4 casing but a large volume tire for my niner. WTB Mutanos 2.4s seem large than my old Maxxis on my 26.

newer kenda run big in my experience, and the panaracers (specifically fire XC) run small.

I'm also curious though, since I'm trying to find as big of a tire as I can to fit in my trek, and all I know is a 2.1 nevegal fits well

Maxxis tires do run small, as do WTB.

I've found Specialized tires to be pretty true to size. Bontragers are pretty close to size too.

Of course, your rim width plays a role with the actual tire width, but even a Maxxis Ignitor 2.35 mounted on a DT 5.1 measures out to be only around 2.1 or so.

Continentals run way small.

2.2 = 2.0

2.4 = 2.25

I've found that the Maxxis Ignitor 2.35 UST, Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1 UST both run true to their size ONLY in the widest tread width. Their casing is about 2.1 and 1.8 respectively. The Specialized Captain Control 2Bliss 2.0 is true to size in tread width and only slightly smaller casing width.

I haven't measured them but Nevegal 2.35 DH casing run smaller the 2.35 UST

My Nevegal DH casing 2.35 are the same size as Nevegal 2.1 UST

Maybe it's the tubeless set-up but my Nevegal 2.35 UST appear to be a little wider then my previous Nevegal 2.35 Stick-E/DTC.

Maybe I'm crazy but it seemed like tube size also made a width difference. I could tell a difference between Kenda 2.3/2.4 tubes and the usual 1.85-2.35 tubes.

Yeah, Panaracer Fire XC Pro's are the smallest 2.1's I've ever seen. I still like them, though.
