Low mount (Hucking test 2) seems better to me. I get to see whats up ahead and whats the trail beneath.
the first one its more on just whats up ahead. but thats just me. maybe other ppl would prefer watching it on the high mount |

For converting your movie for youtube, you can download this program (see attached file). Also you'll want to download this codec for your computer. Choose either Windows or Mac depending what you use. After it is done downloading, just install it. http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/ Unzip it to where you want it. Open up the folder and the file that says VirtualDub opens it. To use it, first go to File and Open Your Video File. Then go to Video and Compression. Go to the bottom and choose Xvid MPEG-4 Codec. Then click configure and put in a number where it says Target Quantizer (the lower the number the higher the quality, I would do anything under . Then click Ok to close that, then Ok to close out of the other box. Then go to file and choose Save As Avi, write the file name you want, where to save it, and click save. It will then compress your video for you.If you have any questions or need help feel free to PM me. Good Luck. |

Ok me back..... Man that climb sucks. So, if he is using the same camera I am, then there is no audio cables, just the sound is on teh hi setting. The directions list for this type of use to have it in the Low settings. So anyways, I got some Video again from the Waterfall down back to the truck on Lock lev. Mounted it on the Helmet this time, still alot of shaking, little too low on the angle, and I seem to look around alot. Anyways, Video is loading to Youtube now. Will post it in a few once its done

The shaking is a lot better I can tell you that from before (You'll never completely get rid of the shaking so you just want to minimize it, and the helmet mounting does that). You were right about the angle, a little higher would have been better. Also how did you convert it for youtube? Did you try what I said?

Well, I am going to ride another trail sunday morning<Anyone want to join me at Huldacrooks at 7am?> and run it on the bars this time, I totally changed around the mount there. As far as youtube goes, I read the direcetion that came with the camera, and I have it set to the proper format for being in america. IE NTSC not PAL, and the Herts is also set to 60 not 50. SO I just went to Youtube, and uploaded it straight off the SD chip |

Hey Dirty, I was actually liking the low mount point of view. It was shaky, but thats because you weren't going very fast. I bet at speed, the view would stabilize, plus it might be better at speed perception.
