Not at all. Silicone spray would not react with organic rubber in such a way.

my friends girlfriends trek got rubberdized by my yakima rack too, careful with white paint with those rubber tie downs

Sounds like you just need to get the frame powder coated a cool color now. You gotta look on the bright side...

All I can say is THULE T2! Best bike rack, as all it touches are the tires(for the most part). Sorry about the yellow spots, but it does give you a great opportunity for a sweet personalized powdercoat!

Get a raw finished frame next time in the nude, and you won't have paint discoloring.
