So I had been riding an 08 Carbon Stumpy which was great bike but wanted something with a bit more travel. I cruise over to The Path to check out some options. I ended up having them do a custom build around an 09 Ellsworth Moment and went a little nuts. Full XT, Thomson stem, bars, Chris King Hubs, headset, Fox Van RC2. I just picked it up last night and will be taking her on today for the maiden voyage. I have riding for about 15 years and have always have XC style bikes and have never done a custom build. Needless to say I am so excited. It was the longest week of my life waiting to this thing to be built. I would like to thank everyone who helped me out at The Path!!!

I think I just orgasmed. That's the 3rd Moment in 2 weeks I've seen newly built and I'm just green with envy. Damn, I need one!
Very nice. Congratulations! ![]()

I really love the looks of this bike (this coming from a true blue Homer). The Moment is what I feel Ells should of been making all along, a durable well made bike. I demo'ed one about a year and a half ago and I can still remember that ride today. Awesome bike and had a great feel to it. I really liked how the geometery fit me too. But I went with what has been a solid bike for me for years. I might still give it a try some day???

Wow man nice work! You just bought my dream bike!
I fully expect you to be completely in love with it about 1 minute into your first ride. Wow nice bike. And getting it from The Path, you know that Tani has your back if you encounter any problems. Good stuff!! ![]() |

Went out to El Morro on her today for the first time and WOW!! This bike climbs great and descends even better. I am very satisfied with all the choices for this build. I just got back and I already want to go ride again.
