The 15mm QR axle is optional on the '09 Fox forks. When I ordered my Mojo I asked if I could get this but Ibis said they wouldn't be able to supply one OEM for at least a month or so, so I went with a standard QR but upgraded the hubs to CK. I don't know if that helps or not but I'm pretty happy with how it rides

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I beat you to it.

Oh, and hello fellow Mojo rider. I'm a proud new owner of a 3 day old Mojo SL.

I was in the same boat as you a year ago. Now, I wish I would have kept my 120mm bike and the 160mm I now ride. My new rig is great for mammoth, lynx, rockit, etc..., but on the long climbs or when doing a 25mi+ ride I "long" for the lighter bike.

If you can afford it, go buy a complete reign, 5.5, FXR, 6 point, or the 07 wolf ridge at adrenaline. All but the FXR us a VPP type suspension and will give you that "bigger" bike that you need for certain rides.

Then you'll have the trance for riding up San Juan and back down.

LOL! That's not me I'm afraid. I've never taken my baby up to Ridge Park -- seems like E92 M3s are popping up everywhere! And your 335i w/300 hp twinturbo is hardly "basic". Thanks for the suggestions. Been talking to the guys at the Path about reduced Turners. Perhaps I can demo your Ibis and you can demo my M3 one of these days!

If I were in your shoes I'd probably be looking at a couple choices. The first would be an '08 Turner Spot frame because they're currently being blown out (especially now that the '09 Turner info is out with their new DW-Link suspension frames). Not state of the art but I doubt anyone will argue that it isn't a great frame, especially for the price they're selling at these days.

The second choice would be an Ibis Mojo. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this yet. You can demo one from The Bike Company for $50/day (they have S, M and L sizes). I went in there and one of the guys there said "If you demo this bike, I have a 99% chance of selling you one." At the time that comment raised an eyebrow but here I am today with a bright green Mojo in my garage. I love this bike. The DW-Link suspension really works. It climbs like a 4" travel bike but when you point it downhill, it just floats over everything. You can glide over that washboard stuff at the bottom of Rock-It at high speed and you won't need to schedule a dentist appointment afterward.

good luck!

What do you think about the '09 Intense Tracer? Gonna demo one this week.

Yeah, I was thinking I'd just stick with standard QR cuz I want to keep using my Mavic Crossmax SLs. Don't really want to have to build/buy a new wheel. But I hear the stiffness of a thru-axle is worth the coin.

And to all you Mojo riders-- very sweet ride!

+1 on keeping a big and small bike. I have a Blur 4X and a Nomad, that covers a wide range of rides. Get a thru axle for the big bike. The old crossmax would convert from qr to 20mm with an adapter. Maybe yours will also?

I think he's probably looking at the new 08 Blur LT2 frame not the older style Blur LT...Colorado Cyclist is selling the new LT2 for $1850.

Yep-- you're right. The guys at The Path call it 2008 1/2-2009 Blur LT.
