Reed....not that I am biased to the Giants bikes and the Maestro suspension, but I think that overall the Reign X will be a pretty good bike for you to get. It should be burly enough to handle your buffness and the crap that you will put it through.

giant's sizing is a little wierd between bikes. My dad has a large trance X, and that's too small for me, but my large reign feels perfect to me (for a gravity bike). Perhaps it's the gigantic-arse bars

but then again, sizing is a bit subjective.

At 6' even, i would at least try a medium. it might be a better fit, and be a bit more flickable/fun on the DH.

the el guapo is a very nice bike. I rode a Ti one a little ways back and it was pretty cool, but a bit over burly if you ask me. also is pretty $$$$$$$

I rode a Medium at the demo and it fit me nicely and I am 5-8. The Demo was really when I noticed that my old frame was too small for me.

I was wondering about that. Thanks Jason.

Now if you could just hook me up with a complete Tracer VP for the same prace as the Reign X2 it would be great.

Default Ha Ha

I don't know about that? How much is the Reign?
The tracer VPs are really cool I think you should test ride one before you buy anything. Always let the ride speak for itself. Then figure out how and where you are going to get the money. The frame is the most important part of your bike if you don't like it you will never be happy.
Parts come and go all the time but your frame if it works well can stay with you for years.

Default Hmm

The new SLX group o is nice and it helps bring the price into a better range. You never know check them out.

I think the path has some demo bikes if you want to test one out.
Tell them you talked to me if you want.

I looked at Denmother's demo last weekend. It looked great and she was loving it. I was planning on talking to the Path about some other demos, so I'll see if I can get on the Tracer VP at the same time.

The Reign x2 is the cheap one and is in the 2K range. I think the top of the line is closer to $3,400, but I'm not positive.

I had an original Tracer and loved it. But that was when I had my old gig at 5.10 and I got a deal on an interbike demo from Jeff. Turns out that teaching high school doesn't give me the same connections I had then. So it goes.

Hey, look it's Friday and I'm off work. I think I'll go play.
