I also suggest the Teocali.I ride one and it is a great bike.Other people that have borrowed it agreed its a good bike.If you can though, Jump up to the Super (what I have). The bike has got very good reviews on most sites/magazines I have checked.Like I said, I love mine.Plus with 5.5 Travel at 28 lbs (2008 model) is respectable.

If you can wait until the end of the year, most bike shops sell the previous year's model as closeouts several hundred $$ cheaper. Shops like Incycle and Wheel World to name a few.

I did see that bike and I love that bike but I think it might be a little big for me, I am 5'11 180 lbs. and unfortunately I don't have the money right now to do it. Thanks for recommending that one.

So I went again and looked at all the bikes, saw the Focus 3.0 and fell in love with it, then I came home and was presented an insane deal for a 2008 Teocali and I might pick it up tomorrow, because I like the bike, it rides well and it might be too good of an opportunity to pass up...So, again, what do you guys think?

well the most important factors are covered there, one its in the price range you like and you like the way it rides. The real question how do you like the ride compared to the Focus 3.0? If you really like the Focus that much better then your better of getting that or you will be sorry later. Trust me more then one of us have made the mistake.

The pricing is low on all of them and the Teocali would be my choice. But I still have some reservations about those bikes. I had a GT frame crack on me but that was years ago before they were purchased. I believe that Mongoose and GT maybe owned by the same company who also makes Pacific bikes (brunswick). Not tosay they're bad bikes but with a grand you can usually get a pretty sweet deal on a used bike.

Thanks for the response guys, turns out someone got to it before I did, so it looks like I am still saving.
