Bionicon Demo Van at JPL

We are celebrating our newest dealer Bike Attack and joining them for a ride and demo this Sunday at JPL. I am getting there super early for a ride and then will offer bikes for demo starting between 8 - 8:30am.

We are going to let the bikes go out until about 10am and then collect them all back by 12:30pm. This demo is short and sweet so get there early and ride well.

Please remember to bring ID, your favorite pedals, and a helmet.

It was an early morning, but it was worth it! This was my first time riding from JPL and I must say that I am impressed with the trails. In order to get there by 6am, I left home at 10:30pm last night after tucking the family in bed, stayed the night in Valencia, and woke up at 5am.

I met Ericson from Bike Attack and some of his buddies and we self shuttled to the top of Mt. Wilson. By the time we got up there it was 7:15am which means we were already behind schedule. They lead me down Upper and Middle Merriel, up Sunset, and back down what I believe was Lower Merriel. The trails are technical and now I know why Kanga rides there all the time!

Today, I donned the protective gear and a full face helmet for the first time all year. The bike of choice was the Supershuttle Freeride with the new DA 170mm fork. It was a test run for the fork and it performed flawlessly. the extra travel came in handy several times and the fork tracked well through the DG and ruts.

It took us a lot longer to complete the 600ft of climbing and 4000ft (is that correct?) of DH than I had expected. We had a couple of Kodak moments and a few mechanicals that slowed the pace down. If anyone arrived early this morning and did not find me, I apologize.
