Shake and Bake!

I now know why they call the trail “Cholla.” All was going good on the easy 3 park ride Saturday morning, that is until I started my climb up Cholla. Me being the newbe that I am I stalled going up, wasn’t able to unclip and fall over into the side of the trail. After a few seconds and was thinking my ass hurts way too much for such a light fall. Well as Jose or Jared can tell you, I fell right into a cactus ass first!
After several minutes of pulling stickers out, I continued the ride. So today I was on a flight to the east coast and was reading the latest mountain bike action mag. While I was checking it out I saw that bastard! There is was, the Cholla Cactus! They wrote a whole article on thing. Anyway, Jared thanks for the uhhh….assistance! My wife got the worst end of the deal by having to pull stickers for about an hour. Jesse |

The Real Slim Shady

I know that feeling and I have shared your pain! Last year during the grading fiasco of Cholla I fell over onto the side due to the extra looseness of the trail [that's my excuse!!!]. Arse first on one of those spiny little buggers! It's no joke how deep those needles can get to. definitely need some assistance in getting them all out.
