Thumbs up Minor's rowbike

http://www.rowbike.com/

A month back (edit) on the way to Potato I met a gentleman that ranks right up there with Pain Freak. Has a few years on us (sorry Mike I'm not that far behind ya ) but like Mike... rides like a maniac really leaves ya in awe. Yesterday just past CWP on Baldy Rd. I saw this odd bike that just fascinated me turns out to be Minor. He explained it's a really fun bike to ride and 75% of the workout is in your legs sort of a rowing machine on wheels. I wish I had my camera but hopefully he'll be joining STR soon to give his personal input on all his experiences. Anyone else try one of these before? Really something to see ...

Thanks youngster.
That looks like a great cross training tool, but I'm not sure I'd take it out to a training ride. Still it would really help working the lower back and abs.

Oops sorry halfpint "bit" as in about a month ago. Today only had time for a quick spin in the local foothills and of course got another flat friggin tubes!! That bike is most definitely heavy enough to be a DH bike. He doesn't take it in the dirt this guy is in top shape and mentioned doing the hills up Padua was a real struggle. He gets stopped often when he's on this one it's so odd looking!

There's one other odd contraption I randomly spot going up Euclid on the weekends. He has about foot long boards attached to the pedals he places his feet on with chains attached to the front of the wood leading up attached to the stem area. So basically he's just pushing straight down on the board but somehow the chain keeps the pedal doing the full circle??
