It's still possible. Just make sure you run a full liter of oil in the transmission. http://joeracerproducts.com/
It's not a matter of having friends at the DMV anymore - you have to do the right things to make it work.

Ricky, have you ridden an XR650 offorad before? It's certainly a beast of burden, but in the hands of a skilled rider, they can really fly across the desert (provided the suspension has been done correctly).

Speaking of flying across the desert, come early fall, we have to plan an STR desert trip.

Nice bike. Both my street bikes were Honda; superior quality compared to the bikes my buddies had. Doesn't it need mirrors to be street legal?

Rubber side down...

I traded my Prerunner(project) and some cash for it so its only costing regestration

So my first story with the bike, started it up, turned on the lights, and the tail light wasn't lighting up, So i took off the tail light cover and there was nothing in it, shit, So I proceeded to pull the side panels seat etc to get to the wiring harness and see if there was at least a lead for it. After I got all that down I traced the wires back, and under the fender was a 1/2" led tail light, the one I took apart was a dummy and it had a trick led light already,

Not only the mirrors, but to be fully "legal", it needs to have a battery with enough reserve power to light up the lights for 15 minutes without the engine running...... Then again, what do I know.....

the baja desings kit has a Ni-Cad that will light up the tail light and "running light" for 15-20 minutes its a really cool system, too bad the light housing is going to get replaced by the HID or the New LED
