I hope I'm not derailing this thread, but how does this do what they advertise? If you stem is slipping on the steertube, you got more problems that just a headset loosening. I don't see how a M8 bolt will hold your headset together better than a stem.
It's like putting a skewer on top of a thru-axle ![]() ![]()

I'm running one of these and think they work great IMO. I've found that star nuts tend to fail over time due to corrosion and/or overtightening, not to mention they can be a headache to install properly without a tool for us do it yourselfers.
The only issue I've found is they do not work for all forks. I believe it's my Marz Z1 that has a tapered ID in the steerer tube, so the bottom of the headlock will not fit. As for sourcing, can't help you there, but I'm sure one of the Orange/Tustin shops would be able to hook you up. |
