I was LOL about this being mentioned in another thread. Just because IH drops DW, it doesn't mean they're going under or being bought out by another company. It just means they're changing their suspension design, just like every other bike company every few years. (except Kona of course
)

Remeber this post from Tani?
I thought I would cc you guys on this ....They are still selling us service parts, and we are stocking up on hangers, pivot HW and such. They say that they will continue to work with us on warranty issues....

I heard they did get bought out. By some big corporate conglomerate. If thats true, I see IH getting cheapened up. Kinda like GT. Not to say they don't make good bikes but they fell off the horse for a while. And quite frankly I'm not completely convinced they're back on it yet

Chewy, you'll probably break the frame in the first few months anyway, so you'll get the warranty part outta the way quickly.
Everything else like bearings/bushings are easy to replace aftermarket.

I never said I didn't like it. If it were my only FS bike I would have kept it. As an all mountain bike it was great. I could barly give the thing away when I sold it though and now there not worth much.

At the rate we on this board change the bikes in our stables....you look to have the 6pt for a year to 2 MAX....in that time frame no shops will start having trouble getting replacement parts if IH doesn't follow thru on their comments about warranty stuff....If you like the 6pt build it up...just don't plan on getting much for it on resale...
