Any info on '09 HiFi GF 29ers yet?

I saw the thread on MTBR, but there really weren't any details on the forthcoming '09 Gary Fisher HiFi 29er line. Most of the information dealt with the Roscoe, which is out of my price range.

I really do think I'm going to invest in a 29er at some point in time, but am concerned about the rumored price increase that's supposed to hit with the introduction of the '09 line. I had been looking around for a 21" HiFi pro with no luck, due to the fact that production of the 08 models had ceased, but recently located one for $2650.

So my concerns are the following:

- Will the '09 model be substantially better than the 08s?
- Would the purchase of an '08 at this reduced price (off of MSRP) be advantageous in light of the rumored price increase on the '09s?

I would really love to get the best bang for my buck at this point, and I'm strongly considering just purchasing this '08 model to save some money and get to riding. I'm a casual XC rider, so the Roscoe doesn't really interest me, nor can I afford to justify the extra expense associated with that bike.

While I enjoyed the ride of my GF Rig, the GF HiFi I tested a few months back felt very flexy to me. I wonder if the 2009 models will feel better.

Well, I ended up pulling the trigger on one. I picked up a 21" HiFi pro for $2725 out the door, with shimano m520 pedals.

The only change for the HIFI line, will be a re-styled components package, and a bigger price tag. The layout of the bike will remain the same. Enjoy your new bike!!! I'm jealous!!!

You don't know how happy I am to hear that. I thought I was taking a gamble with buying an '08, but I was concerned about the impending price increase on the '09s. I think I made the right decision with this bike.

Edit: This is also my first "new" bike purchase ever. Up til now, i've only purchased second hand higher end bikes (y22, and y33).
