For anyone that does not know on Fridays at the orange Y BMX they have a 26" race that is Off the record. If if have paid the $5 to practice - you race for free. (assuming you have the ABA membership)
Julia lets me race her 4X bike. I like it more each time I ride it. I may have to get 1 now... Black Market Three57 seemed to get around the track pretty good ![]() ![]() Thank you Julia and Julia's mom and STR BMXrz Last edited by TeamDEKEbmx; 07-18-2008 at 09:41 PM. Reason: typo |

Randy- You were absolutely flying today. You should be very proud of your 2nd place. No one was going to catch Troy. The Kid is in a league of his own!
For those who don't know Randy, he is a dedicated BMX racer who was "convinced" to take a lap around the track on a 26" 4X/DJ bike. One day he demo's Julia's bike, the next day he signs on to STR, the following week he races Julia' bike, races it again... and again. Word on the street is he has already started looking for a 4X bike of his own!!! ![]() Way to go Homie!! ![]()

If you're up in Thousand Oaks, there are tracks in Camarillo and Simi Valley. I went to both of those yesterday, and both tracks are a lot of fun, and there's a really good and friendly local crowd. If you want to check it out, there is a state championship qualifier race at Camarillo today and one at Simi tomorrow.
http://www.freedomparkbmx.com/ http://www.sycamorebmx.com/ I'll be one of the old fat guys wearing a very colorful FB jersey with a #26 on the bike.

Randy,
You certainly impressed racing on Julia's bike. It was a great race and you raced marvelous. Julia's bike is always available if she's not racing it. -Elvia Or Julia's Mom

If you can get out early and hang in OC for a few hours maybe 2-2.5 hours if your not out of that area by 3PM I would say 3+ hours easy. It takes me about 2 hours to get to Long beach from that area leaving a 2PM when I have to work up there. |

it only seemed fast because i let you win...
that, and you had whatever crazy pressure in the tires. Anyways, it was a really fun race. Thanks again to mudman for letting me ride his mob (that thing is sick...just needs a bit more pressure in the fork for BMX purposes IMO) Also, on a slightly related topic, I stopped by the 4X track at southridge for the first time today (it was on the way back from big bear). I can't imagine how fun that must be a proper bike (the stumpy eats a lot up) and flat pedals (only had the clips on me ) |
