Exactly what Dean said. You can also chick the little paper with pencil graphic to the right of the "quote" graphic in a post. Then click the checkbox next to "Quote message in reply?" right under your quick reply text.

Hope that made sense.

I met Mark Reynolds at the MT SAC race a couple of months before he was killed. He was a super strong rider and he was very physicallly fit. If a mountain lion could take him out, he could take out about 90% of us. A ranger told me the same thing "You'll never know what hit you".

A lot of people who have been found over the years have been listed as dying from exposure where in reality they may have been attacked by a wild animal. But if they don't have 100% proof they will never state that this is a possibility. Two years before Mark and Anne were attacked another ranger told me this was going to happen ( mountain lion attack ). What I was told that day, was that it wasn't so much as us taking more of their territory as that there are far more deer available then EVER before. Because of wildlife management the deer population is at a level never before seen. With more deer, comes more predators, lions produce more young when there is an abundant food supply. This ranger told us, that it's not to the rangers benefit to suggest a limited hunt, that politically it hurts their position and that at this time people don't want the lions thinned.

Oh that's easy too. Click on their name where they post, go to their 'public profile' and there's a link that says "Add [user] to Your Ignore List." Any posts they make will be hidden and so will their PM's ( I think ).

We could alway ride "convoy" style like in Iraq. 5-7 riders in the middle, one guy in the front and another in the rear pulling security!

Not always. I've been trying this out with my wife. Every time I come home with a new "owwie" I show her, hoping it'll, you know, stoke the fire.

She's not digging it. Then she starts talking about life insurance.

When my wife started talking about life insurance I had a sudden urge to hide the knives and start wondering what it is that she knew but wasn't telling me.

That's just GREAT! I get the tail all the time.

It's kind of like the saying" I don't have to be fast....Just faster then you.

Limited hunt? Wouldn't make the Barbara Streisand's of the People's Republik of Kalifornia very angry?

That's interesting the ranger attributed the increase of lions to the increase of deer. I figured it would be the opposite. You know, the more deer, the less likely a lion would want to eat homosapien. I also figured the increase of lions would promote a decrease in deer population. I'm not saying in the least that the ranger is wrong, just commenting at how wrong I was.

Not if the deer population was being artifically propped up by sportsmans groups that were making sure they were being fed and cared for in the harder times of the year.

With more deer there still becomes less of a territory for the younger lions who get pushed out into residential areas.

Sorry Roy, I don't have what the ranger said verbatim just a general gist, and this was only one ranger's opinion. I just found that what he said came true with the attack on Mark and Anne.
