Smile New (and final) Addition to the Stable

So, I sort of lost my mind, and pulled the trigger on a fun/light DH bike for Fontana, Big Bear and Whistler type rides. Here it is.......... I haven't had the chance to ride it yet, but will post a RR as soon as I get out to ride a fun trail, more than likely this weekend.

Highlights......

Lg Stealth Black Intense Slope Style
Rock Shox Totem Coil
X9 Shifter and Rear Derailleur
XT Crankset
DT 5.1's with Hope Pro II's (w/ DT Tubeless kit)
Maxxis High Roller 2.5 UST's
XT brakes (203 up front and 180 in the back)
Thomson Post and Stem

Edit - Forgot to give Tani a big thanks for helping me out and hooking me up with a deal. I'm glad to be a big part in helping fund his kids' future college education!

With the pro pedal on, I think I'll be able to climb with it fairly well. It sure doesn't feel like a 36 lb bike.

Great riding with you and Mark! Anytime you guys do a 'casual' ride during the weekend, I'd be game. I'd need a motorcycle to keep up with you two on one of your real rides

Congratulations!
I can speak from experience and say that's the most bad-ass bike out there. You're going to love it!

BTW, can you lower that fork about 20 mm by using a Lyrik spring and spacers? That bike will really come to life after you drop the fork a bit (although this is one example where it may not always be bad to be a slacker).

With the 08 XT brakes, you can shave some weight by going with 160/180 mm rotors. Although I don't know how that combo would work at Mammoth or Whistler, that combo works great for Summit - didn't once bring my brakes to fading (although I didn't use them much ).

Nice...Very nice!
