And here it is!!!
A 2008 Gary Fisher PHD (and you all thought it was a degree). Ordered it last friday and got it built up today. The thing is a tank (33lbs for a medium complete)! All I've changed so far is the saddle, swapped the stock one for a Premium Le Coupe (alice cooper's face... )Anyways here's the pics: The bike: ![]() Crazy burly rear end: ![]() Yes I'm going to be sitting on his face: ![]() The equally burly front, 1.5 headtube with a reducer strapped to a Pike 409: ![]() Little bit of carbon bling on the King Earl hubs: ![]() And some more out back: ![]() Plenty of options for cable routing through those massive seatstays: ![]() And last, the sweet Fisher logo: ![]() I just pedaled it home from work and its super fun, curb hops and (pretty weak) manuals are a blast and I can't wait to hit up some more urban assault and some dirt jumps soon. |

haha flexy it is not, beefy it is.
I was a little worried when I pulled it out of the box, thinking what the hell did I just buy, but the design has definitely grown on me, and I would imagine the frame will probably survive an apocalypse or nuclear blast of some sort.. |

Killer spec on that, great for tearing it up. Prolonged climbs and switchbacks however not so good. Too bad you will have to hop the fence to shred some decent concrete though....

Yea, I'm kinda drawn to it and repulsed at the same time. I'm confused...conflicting emotions hurt.
Looks good. ![]() |

Love the step-through design. It kind of reminds me of the Trek 820 WSD on steroids.
Just kidding! Tear it up, man!

Um, so Alice Cooper gives you a moustache ride in effigy every time you ride your bike.
Am I the only one who finds that slightly disturbing? Congrats on the new ride |

It looks like a tough bike with a set of really light wheels.
You might want to look into some FR wheels. I like that it looks like a FS bike that the companies forget to put the shock on. Its weird in a strange kinda good way. Then again I am weird and like rare and strange things. I like to have something a little different then the guy next to me. Quote:
