I dont know about anyone else, but i ususally wear a underarmour shirt under my jersey, really helps keep you cool. here is some awsome deals on the stuff that is usually expensive but these prices are definetly good.

Underarmour.com has many HeatGear items discounted in their outlet. Shipping is free on $150+ orders, otherwise it starts at $6 and depends on your order total.

They make outer wear as well.

I've used UA since they first started making the under shirts but have come to realize I can get the same stuff from Wallmart under the brand name "ATHLETIC" and for 7 to 9$ a shirt. Been doing so for the last 6yrs or so although UA does make some of their gear in realtree camo.

I thought you meant armor, like something that would cover your ass in a spill.

The stuff does work, but a jersey by itself will too. In the winter I find their stuff to work really well. Cheap too.

I didn't know about the Walmart equivelent

Target also has an equivalent that is much cheaper which I use in the winter. If you are looking for an uncommon color though you will have to go with UA. I needed brown for my work uniforms and UA were the only ones that had it. For anything else I just use the Target stuff. In the summer only a jersey since they are basically the same thing.

It does seem counter-intuitive but any moisture-wicking garment will keep you cooler than no shirt at all. When you sweat, the beads of moisture will just sit on the surface of the skin and generate heat. A jersey that has moisture management properties will evaporate and dispel sweat and thus keep you cooler.

The same can be said of wearing a long-sleeved riding jersey when it's super hot. It keeps you cooler than short sleeves as it protects your skin from the sun as well as wicking away moisture

Yeah, Wallmart's in-house brand is Athetic but they also have a few other moisture wicking jerseys such as Starter and other "field" workout jerseys that they regularly put on sale for $4 to $10.

I still use the UA for all the under garments during the winter but for the price and quality, the others work well and come in a loose 3Xl and 4XL. UA 3 and 4XL's are an "athletic" (like a race cut) cut so they are a bit tighter around the middle.
