Default Have you voted yet?

It's time for a Monday morning reminder. It's shaping up to be an battle for the four places. No one is giving up. Anyone standing still will be left behind. With over 1800 members of STR there's a lot of potential votes. Lurkers can vote too.

Everyone can vote, your family, your friends, your work mates. Please keep it honest.

Does the voting end 7/1, or 7/11?

I've seen conflicting information.

The voting ends on the 11th. From Santa Cruz:

Doug, since it took about twelve extra days to get this off the ground, we decided to extend the voting period to July 11. We will announce winners a few days after that.

I love this part: "you come alone. No lurky, touchy boyfriends".

I guess Keith made quite an impression last year

LOL! They invited me there then made me feel pretty unwelcome. Sarah sat on my lap after the ride and we sat all night chatting with Rich - they seemed pretty displeased about that . I also note they now made a comment about carrying your own water, Mark Weir had drops made for him last year as well as Sarah and Rich so not sure exactly where that remark was aimed.

Here's some pics from last years event...

You should show up this year just to piss him off

Reading Sarah's report from last year was a big help in that Santa Cruz wanted applicants with "attitude".

Aaron Bean from NY is surging up. He's getting a lot of help from NYCMTB. I can see why politicians run ads over and over. With every plea for votes a few more come in. Exposure helps!

hey so i finally checked my new gmail account and I guess I had to confirm my vote for it to count. Congrats, you're one vote closer now.

I'm gonna stick to their guidelines and not vote with my school e-mail, hope you don't mind, it seems like you're in a pretty comfortable second place for now.

Does Mark Weir still have the sideburns-on-the-chin look? What a douche.

local news reports on way dumber feel good stories than this sometimes... all you need is one of the four local networks to do a piece on you and you'd be set.

I think you can submit story ideas on their websites
