Talking Holy crap it's hot out there!

I was out at PQ this morning at 8am to do my normal ride and it was already steaming! I was so freakin hot and all i had on were my patent leather speedos and my football helmet. I guess summer is here...

Sik Sd, I just got back from there riding out and around the tunnels and hitting the jumps en route back..what were you wearing? My buddy Will was on the Ellsworth Distance (black) and I was on the Yeti 575 (also black). We did addidas to the sidehill climb out and missed tunnel 5 opening, that damn thing fools me every time! Did you pass the poor guy who dropped his left crank? LMK next time your headed out, we will join you if possible.

I was out on a road ride across the 56 and by 10 it was pretty warm, but not as bad as I thought it could be. I looked over from Camino del Sur toward Tunnels hoping to see some folks on the trail, but nothing.

riding road is better when its hot, you have a wind speed of around like 18mph usually colling you off versus the 4-5mph wind speed colling you off while climbing in the dirt. Its all about convection!

I left a little before 8am and finished at like 9:45 in the mountains and I had temps in the mid 90s!

I guess the heat affected me more than I thought since I don't remember that outfit/bike. Of course there are maybe 10 diff loops in there so its possible we never passed one another. I'll send you a pm next time we are headed there. Enjoy the ride

You're right. Even-though, I will still take the dirt.

Pretty darn hot at Noble Canyon today too, especially at the end (95deg). Had a good ride though, but I'm very tired. There was a group ride of 30(!) lycra-clad mountain bikers from Mexico. Friendly folks, we were passed by, and repassed some of them, several times. Also talked several times to three guys from, I think, OC & Temecula, who were working jumps etc. Loaned them a pump. One guy looked real familiar -- should've thought to ask if he was an STR guy.

Well then, I suppose it's time for Mt. Pinos and the Chilao area .

I am always looking for a good excuse to head up there and just about anytime is a good time to go to either area.
