If you look closely it looks like everyone is having a herd time on that things.
It almost looks like you have to run to go walking speed. They need to make one that shifts gears.

Looks like direct friction drive from the belt so it's geared 1:1. Geared drive and a freewheel would make it interesting - run uphill geared down or run 30mph on the flats.

Looks like it was a "spoof ad" for a school project...the humor being the irony that if you're walking on a bike, why not just walk?

May be a repost, but there's always people who missed the OP...like me!

Pretty funny stuff. As soon as I found myself thinking "that's kinda cool!", I realized it's completely pointless. lol.
