I broke my Niner SIR9 frame at the dropouts... Maybe I should hop on the Jet and run it as a SS... Nice pics burner.

Just everyday riding. I cracked the frame in half at the dropout. For the past few weeks, I had heard this wierd sound coming from the bike. I thought it was the headset at first then realized that it was fine.

Last Friday, I was about to install a second gear prior to heading out to ride and noticed the frame failure...

The Path is taking care of it now.

But, it has got me thinking....Should I go with another SIR9?

Getting a Jet9 or a Rip9.... No alum or sandium without suspension for me.

Ultimately, I need to get a stable going. One bike isn't going to do it for me much longer.

I really love the hardtail though. I will most likely get another SIR.....Then also step up to full suspension again soon....hopefully. Work is really tough right now though, so I have to tough it out!

Sorry about the thread deraillment guys...

Besides, the chainstays on the Jet 9 are a full half inch shorter than the Sultan. You could start wheelie dropping all the rocks on SJT.
Naw build a pure CC bike and keep the Sultan for more of a trail bike.
Besides I am keeping the Sultan just to piss off Fo Shi$$le.
