So I drive to Oxnard, get the wallet and take it to Kinkos/Fedex and overnight it to her hotel. She'll have it by 10:30am tomorrow.
JeffJ forgot a story that hit even CLOSER to home.
A small group of us were showing him and his son a few trails in The San Gabriel's. While winding our way down EL PRIETO, we stopped to re-group. We noticed the upper pocket of his Camelbak was open! Sure enough, his WALLET was missing!
Oh no..... The next morning he was to board a plane headed for Texas!!!! Not two minutes later, a XC RACER rides up to us. Like clockwork, the three of us (The Racer, Jeff and I) uttered the words, "did YOU find/lose a wallet?"

A relieved Jeff *LITERALLY* 2 minutes after re-uniting with his wallet!

Dino, that's right! That makes twice in the last six months that the kindness, integrity and honesty of strangers has saved us from major headaches and possible monetary loss .

Note to self (and all immediate family members): Have wallet surgically attached at least three days before any scheduled flight.

Good luck boarding a flight these days without ID
