I'd JUMP in on this... still haven't learned how to jump yet. This would be a good time to start!

I've had the road gap at Oaks on my mind for quite a while now, everytime I go there. But can never pull the guts to jump it- it's not even that big but looks like a steep landing! and the setup for it is pretty akward IMO.

Kenter is a great place to learn how to jump! The tabletop line is really a great introduction to dirt jumps. Look at the video DownhillPhil put up earlier in this thread, post #8. It shows the tabletop line. I think there are 5 in a row with two doubles at the end.

I might be interested if its a good place to learn. I am thinking this might be a good next step. Only question would a 5" travel bike work ok?

You'd be fine with a 5" bike, what type is it? The Geo might not be too great for DJ'ing.

There are a couple beginner tabletops there, some small hip jumps, and a lot of whoops you can fly off of if you want to get comfortable with air time.

Let me know when you guys are going to Kenter, I've been going quite a bit now that I'm back in Santa Monica. Me, Kurt and a bunch of other started rebuilding Kenter about 2 years ago, it's come a long way since then, and it has a long way to go!

Yeah there are a lot of jumps that haven't seen any love in a long time. The farther up you go, the less action the jumps see.

I like that new hipper they put in though...that is a good one!
