These new Trek's are the best I have seen coming from them. It would be a hard decision for me to choose a big bike with these on the market.

not only do they look amazing, but I bet they are going to ride incredibly, especially after my mind-blowing experiences with the ABP on a fuel ex 8. braking bumps are smoothed out to the point that they feel like a steep fire road.

What's with the headtube? It looks like it is 1.125 on top x 1.5 on the bottom. Would you have to mix headsets or does it only fit proprietary Trek headsets?

Stiffer than a traditional headtube, but with less weight than a straight 1.5. They call it E5, and it is on the new Remedy, and Session models. Fox and Rock Shox are making the forks with tapered steer tubes. The idea is that they spec the bikes with top of the line forks, so you will never need to change it out. And if you want to, then I'm sure they will have an adapter kit available.

I always suspected the letters painted on the bike would effect the performance...

They will be ready to ship first week in June, in very limited supply. I forgot to mention the large frame Session 88 DH weighs in at 37 POUNDS!!!!! We have a shop employee that is going to get one of them, but he can't decide!
