Default Trailer Camping: Need Ideas!

So I bought a trailer steep and cheap from Nashbar. Now the question of "where do I take this thing?" arises.

I've been solo backpacking, so gear and backcountry experience isn't an issue, but I'm struggling to come up with ideas of where to go camping with a trailer.

Since it's so long (2X the length of a bike) it would be tough to take it into the San Gabs where I usually backpack due to the plethora of steep switchbacks (Newcomb Pass anyone?).

I'd really appreciate ANY and ALL ideas for a 2-3 night (3-4 day) camping trip with a trailer.

I'm not a fan of pavement and fitness isn't and issue (Expert XC racer, 6-year off-road triathlete) so let's hear it!

Where would YOU GO in Central or So Cal if you had 3-4 days and a trailer (40-60 mile days would not be a problem)?

I don't know many details but you could probably climb up into Idywild via a dirt road that's off of the 74 down in and around Hemet I believe. I've read some blogs from the peeps over at Syren bikes who have done that ride on a regular basis. Like I said I don't have much info on it but it could be a start.

There's a lot of that kind of riding, but it's high country stuff, nothing open yet. Also UT has a million places like that, but that might not be what you're looking for. There are a few backroads/jeeptrails up the backside of Big Bear. That would be my first pick for the local stuff. These are easy to find. A good one starts at Manzanita Flats right off the 30. Climbs all the way up and you can desend back down thru Silverwood.
