I'm actually looking forward to trying out the long travel versions of trek's bikes. my fuel is the best I've ridden as far as rear suspension goes. beat out a motolite, an el guapo ti (that had a talas 36, so the front was cooler), a hifi. I'm still in the never ending process of justifying my purchase, but so far i'm doing quite well.

I'm interested to see how different the Remedy is as well. Theres a fleet of remedy 9's on the demo van that i may try and sneak a ride on if i can talk the guy into it. i wonder if they'll do demos with the session?

That's what I was thinking, too. It looks pretty sweet, actually, but I'd prefer an uninterrupted seat tube. Oh well, guess you can't have everything.

Yeah, I also thought that about the seat tube. I don't move my post on a dh bike, but still. I wonder what the geo is like esp HA and SA.

The real knock is that it's DW's second tire design...

Now, is that really DW? I thought Trek was just coming out with a similar design...or am I wrong?

I know it is not literaly DW's split link, but if anything, I think I would rather have the one maped out by DW. The split link is DW's design.

Best looking DH Trek ever! In other pictures I've seen of that bike, it has the new Avid Elixer 4-piston brakes.

Oh no no. Its different, the rear Pivot is the part that is similar, but DW has his own tweaks to how its built, the other really big difference is that the EX suspension that the new session and remedy have use a full floating shock. The lower swing arm comes around and past the seat tube for the shock to mount into.

That floating shock mount is iteresting. I don't see it doing anything to wheel path, or anything, but maybe it is good for manipulating the progression rate?

Thanks

The progression is exactly what it changes, for the most part we have been finding it is taking very little air or nice soft springs for most people on these bikes, and Man do they pedal, you have to get pretty sloppy in your riding to get this thing to bob.
