I'm a cyclist

I was going to post that same thing. My wife took the class years a go and now that she is getting back into the sports I am trying to get her out there on the 3rd as well, will depend on if the aunt can watch the kids. If you two can not make the third then the first Saturday of every month they have the skils clinic. You can either hang with her to give her confidence or take off and ride Bulldog/New Millennium while she takes the class. ![]()

Since you live in Brentwood you should be able to afford to pay me $40 to show you around right? ![]() It's a great class, but don't expect Mark to candy coat his comments. I learned a lot from him and like his method of teaching and constructive criticism. My friend felt that he was too direct and stern in his delivery, but that's how I like it. Well, to each his or her own I guess.

I used to work at REI in Santa Ana, and my personal opinion save you're money and just take her out to ride. Plus STR newb rides offer just as much if not more info on how to ride along with great friendly company.

1. check with your insurance agent about life insurance
2. contact a divorce lawyer 3. get separate checking accounts now you're ready for any contingency. seriously- i took mark's class a few years ago and realized that i had no idea what i was doing. i thought it was an excellent class because, i mean, but i left my wife at home. |

I know you said she doesn't read many forums, but she might try the Trailangels website. It's a womens mtb organization that runs their own rides and clinics. There's a couple of the angels on this site.Contact Brenda Gilbert or Sherry(cowgirl on this site) or Vickie for more info.-Lloyd

Glad you said that...Mark is direct, but needs to be in order to get his point across. Besides, this is mtn biking, and rocks, ruts and roots aren't candy coated out on the trail! |

Funny, this reminds me of when my wife wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle. She couldn't even ride a bicycle in a straight line w/o being all wobbly. I was thinking how in the hell was she going to pilot a 400 lb bike in a straight line??? At the time I just came off a motorcycle racing championship year, but I said no. She then said she was going to write a check for a friend's bike whether I came or not. I said uh, ok she could get the bike, but I wasn't going to teach her. I made her take the MSF course ($180) which in Ohio provides you learner bikes. Then she later practiced a bit for the test on her own bike, which she just missed passing the first time (sharp 180 was the problem). So I helped her practice and she passed the 2nd time. We were both proud she passed. Fast forward a year later, she did a road trip on her new SV650 from Albuquerque to Phoenix and back with two other skydiving motorcyclists. She wanted a new comfy seat after that one...

I would say it's not worth it, but then again you do live in Brentwood.
