Bummer Alan, where was it stolen from? Did it have that red rear swing arm on it?

That's horrible. I always have it in the garage and make sure the garage is locked. Those bike cables are better then nothing but if somebody sees it and has no conscious that bike is as good as gone. Good luck alan, hope you find your bike.

That really sucks. Those Chumbas are pretty unique. So I'll keep me eyes out on the classifieds and stuff, on the trails in case the thieves try to turn around and sell it.

Good luck.

Pd-up.

good luck (GLTY) I had my white Santa Cruz Bullit stolen last Dec
and called the cops, etc and to this day never seen or heard about the bike.
Insurance paid for only the frame, since thats the only receipt I had--
I built it up from old parts. The bad thing about it was that I bought the
frame on a 'bro" deal--paid only $1000 out the door for it. I lost around $1600
on the parts I put on it. The best thing to do is to find receipts that deal with your bike and keep it in some ziploc bag somewhere so iffin you ever get a bike stolen, youll have proof of purchase. Itemize the parts as well and
take a good photo of your bike.

Hahah, thanks man. If you see one like that, knock em off and take it, cuz mine is the only red and yellow Chumba ever produced.

I'd be willing to bet that if the thief was smart enough they would strip that bike down and have it powdercoated/painted before they tried to sell it. Maybe check with any local powder coaters/paint shops that do bike frames and give them a pic of your bike.....tell them to watch for it. I know Olympic Powdercoating does a lot of bike frames. If the thief has any knowledge of bikes they would know that bike is rare and it obviously stands out with that color scheme.

Default Pawn Shops

Most likely some crack-head looking for a few bucks stole it. I would alert the local pawn shops as well as all the local bike shops if you have not already.

Spam alert - I still have plenty of the Kryptonite cable locks for sale if anyone wants to help prevent something similar from happening to them.
Keep the honest guy honest with 5' of 1/2" diameter cable. $10 ea. Make me an offer if you want more.

Sorry to hear about that Alan. I'll keep an eye out and I'll tell Steven Jackson to keep an eye out on the Fullerton Loop, I feel sorry for the dude whose riding it if Steven Jackson catches him.

In all seriousness, good luck and I hope you get it back.

That odd bike should turn up somewhere. Maybe the new owner will stop on the trail when I say Hi . ( The old one didn't. )
