"Keep it singletrack” stay on the trail to avoid widening the trail, on narrow singletrack stop and lean the bike to one side to allow others to pass.

50 miles??? It seemed more like 60, or maybe even 70

Please tell me someone has a GPS route of this ride for those of us who couldn't make it.

I'm extremely curious to see exactly what route you all took...

Not to be a jerk, but is this route technically open? I thought it crossed several easements and private land? Just don't want to jeopordize something really cool in the making.

I agree that we wouldn't want to jeopardize any of the goodwill generated by the hard work of Bill, Rich, and others who are trying to make the Islands Trail possible.

From MTB Bill's blog, it appears that they crossed at least one section where they needed special permission, but I'd still like to know the route. I didn't get the impression that they crossed any private property though.

If I understand his description, there is an alternative road route that could bypass the forbidden section. Either way I'd love to see their path...
